I was born in Bangkok and moved between Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore when I was a child with my Thai mother and Malaysian (Chinese-Eurasian) father, before relocating to Australia where I’ve gotten the chance to live in Perth, Melbourne, and now Sydney!

Having moved around a lot as a child, and paying long annual visits to my home countries, I grew up learning about our culture and my family diversity – a pretty rare one consisting of Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, and Portuguese-Eurasian heritage, whose values and culture define who I am today.

You see, my families didn’t have much but to me, we were rich in so many ways. In Thailand, I share a home with my extended relatives – the 14 of us, living very closely together in our vibrant alley full of noisy and funny neighbors selling their street food. Life is fun there, and each day is different from the previous one.

Thai culture is something I know well, and one of the things I truly value and am grateful to have “Sam Pat” (meaning experience and feel) whilst growing up. Now, I want to do everything I can to keep that beautiful culture and enriching lifestyle alive.
